Old Man Emu's 4 inch lift kit for the Jeep Wrangler JK, 2 and 4 door models will drastically improve the off-road capabilities of your Jeep. Additional ground clearance, greater wheel travel, improved handling and the capability to add up to 35 inch tires are the benefits you'll receive by installing this kit. The included NitroCharger Shocks are valved specifically for the Jeep JK and provide a substantial improvement over the inferior factory shocks, they won't sag or fade during the rigors of off-road driving. Kit includes a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty.
I just received an OMETJHKS kit from 4WD. The price was excellent and kit arrived in good condition. The kit did contain a Panhard relocation bracket, steering stabilizer, and rear bump stop extenders. Installation took 2 hours for front, 2-1/2 hours for rear, and 2 hours for the panhard bracket. The bracket installation required a T60 torx bit and complete removal of the panhard rod for access to the new bracket's bolts. I had to shorten a 1/2 inch drill to gain room for drilling one hole. It was necessary to remove the driver-side upper control arm, but is is easy to remove and reinstall. TIP: Loosen both ends of every control arm and you'll gain some droop making spring installation much easier. I didn't need a spring compressor. After you're done, lower the Jeep onto it's tires before retightening the control arms. I gained 2-1/2 inches at the front bumper and 1-1/2 inches at the rear. The Jeep now sits level. No winch is installed yet. The ride is stable, and slightly harder than stock. I attribute the hardness to the new shocks. My old ones were tired. Springs are labelled A and B. The A spring goes on the driver's side. Note that in Australia the driver is on the opposite side, so read carefully. I see opinions about the rear spring placement being opposite, but they aren't backed up by any OME documents I find. My original springs don't appear to differ from side to side and part numbers are identical. My only reason for not rating 5-stars is the difficulty in resolving which spring, A or B, goes on which side. ARB's application guide does not provide a clear answer. Great product, carefully packaged, and good service from 4WD store. I knew when to expect the package and it arrived as expected. I strongly recommend the OME lift, and 4WD had the best price and excellent service. Thank you 4WD!
Far superior ride compared to stock or puck-only lifts, especially when trailering. Initial lift appears to be 2.5"+. The only install difficulties are caused by the Jeep's front end shock configuration (we would up cutting the the bolts on the existing shocks to remove them). NOTE - the steering stabilizer pictured is not included (the product detail listing is accurate). This was a solid improvement worth the investment.
easy to install afther my friends told me how to do it.i have done shocks but only once before springs.
The kit is good but you may want to order front bump stop extensions and a brake line relocation kit as well as adjustable sway bar quick disconnects for the front and longer links for the back. The service from 4wheel drive hardware was terrible. The parts arrived 2 weeks later than what they told me and when they did come in they pulled the wrong parts which wasn't discovered until my jeep was in pieces. I had to call the corporate office before I started getting any help to resolve this problem from the local store.
What is the difference between this set up and let's say, a Teraflex or Rock Kralwer 3.5 inch lift? Which one is better and which is more capable of serious rock climbing? Why doesn't this one have all the extra stuff that those do?

Hello, All these different lifts have different setups. It all depends on what kind of ride quality you would like. If you are doing heavy rock climbing you will want one with all new control arms, these would be rubicon express, rock krawler, and tereflex. They all have different spring ratings, I recommend giving us a call for a better break down for what you need. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask, Thank you.

In the picture it looks like it includes the steering stabilizer, but doesn't mention it in description. Is it included? And I have a 4 door with a hardtop, do I need light or heavy duty?

Hi roshanmshah, This ARB 4x4 Accessories 2-2.25 Inch Lift Kit (Light Duty) is the image of the 4" lift, this one won't include the stabilizer shock or track bar. The light duty kit offers the best quality ride unless you've got several heavy accessories added on. Thanks for your inquiry.
